  Like a lot of houses in SF, our house sits against a hill, and the lower floor's back half is below grade with a retaining wall at the rear. When the intense flooding rain storms hit the past couple of winters we were dealing with water intrusion along that wall. After another contractor installed a sump pump, we discovered it did nothing and we still had the same problem last year. After speaking to a lot of contractors, Carlos came by and explained why the other solutions wouldn't work, and came up with a plan to address our drainage issues. We now have a perforated drainage pipe installed down at the proper depth to catch the moisture, a moisture barrier directing any seepage down in the pipe, and a new sump system taking it all into the sewer. They even installed moisture triggered ventilation fans, and took care of bringing down (and putting back up) the drywall in the utility room with the retaining wall (something most other moisture control companies wanted us to find a separate contractor to do). I now feel confident that we have the problem solved and highly recommend Drainage & Moisture Control if you are having similar issues.

  Carlos is very responsible, very flexible, he knows what's the best material to use to fix the problem. you could tell he likes his job .you tell him the issue and he works with you to try to keep the cost down instead of hiring it. I would call him again. He gives you good advice and how to maintain the problem.

  Carlos and his team did a great job improving the drainage on our property. They installed a deep French Drain around 50% of our home and ran solid pipe around the full perimeter, connecting to downspouts along the way. Additionally, they put a wrap around the foundation and sealed it to further prevent any water intrusion. Very quickly, our problem of water in the crawl space was resolved.

What stood out to me about Carlos specifically was his passion and knowledge for drainage. He knew exactly what needed to be done to solve our issue and did not take any shortcuts along the way. It is obvious that he has been working in this field for many years and cares deeply about ensuring his customers are satisfied.
